5月19日消息，搜狗CEO王小川以全英文演講的方式，宣布與微軟必應達成合作，搜狗將接入微軟必應英文搜索技術，推出搜狗英文搜索，并上線英文和學術搜索兩個垂直頻道。
在演講里，王小川分享了30多年的求學和工作中，好奇心如何驅使他不斷探索和了解更大的世界，也透露出他推出搜狗英文的初衷：希望更開放的中國一代，通過搜狗英文搜索滿足對全世界探索的好奇心。
此次，搜狗搜索攜手微軟必應，對接全球范圍內多達萬億的英文信息，確保在用戶提出英文搜索需求時，為用戶找到英文網頁信息及英文學術數據，讓用戶更加輕松獲取到一手的專業文獻、原味的同步資訊和更加權威的源頭信息。同期上線的學術搜索頻道，提供權威學術內容，力求滿足國內各領域專業研究用戶的學術搜索需求，幫助用戶可以便捷地查詢到全球英文學術資料。

Hi,I am Wang Xiaochuan.
嗨，我是王小川。
In1985 when I was in the primary school, I knew LOGO Language the first time andstarted learning English words. Through searching engine, I figured out thatLOGO Language was born from a university named MIT, located in Boston on theother end of the earth, 12,000 km far from my hometown Chengdu.
1985年，當我還上小學時，第一次接觸了計算機LOGO語言，也開始學習英文單詞。通過搜索引擎，我得知LOGO語言始于一所叫做MIT的大學，這所高校在地球另一端的波士頓，距離我的家鄉成都12000公里。
WhenI was in high school, I fell in love with an American game—Command and Conquer.I checked its official website every day, wondering new information about thisgame. This is the first time that I was so fascinated by a foreign website.
高中的時候，我迷戀上了一款美國游戲Command & Conquer，我每天都去訪問它的官網，想了解這款游戲的新信息。這是我第一次癡迷于一個國外網站。
In1996, I represented China to go to Budapest for the 8th International Olympiadin Informatics. I got the gold medal, and our team ranked No.1. Coming back toChina, I found the excellent performance was recorded on the IOI officialwebsite. This is the first time that my name appears in a foreign website.
1996年，我代表中國前往布達佩斯，去參加第八屆國際奧林匹克信息學競賽。我獲得了金牌，我們代表團也獲得團體第一。我搜索到我們優異的成績出現在IOI官網上。我的名字第一次出現在國外網站上。
In2000, I took part in the research of Human Genome Project at TsinghuaUniversity. Searching in English, I downloaded lots of relevant gene data. Thisis the first time that I feel the transnational power of research.
2000年，我在清華大學讀研究生時參與了人類基因組工程的相關研究。通過搜索英文，我下載到了很多與基因相關的數據。我第一次感受到了科研工作的跨國力量。
Duringmy 30-year studies and work, curiosity has been driving me to learn andunderstand the new things in the world. I cannot do it without Englishinformation. I believe you also desire to be closely linked with the wholeworld.
