LVDS lanes could be used to make up Ethernet & Fiber Chanel (PICMG 3.1), Infini-Band (PICMG3.2), Star Fabric (PICMG3.3), PCI-Express & Advanced Switching (PICMG3.4), S-RapidIO (PICMG3.5) and other broadband interfaces. Redundant base interfaces are radial connected between fabric slots and node slots to support system configuration and management.

Redundant Shelf Management Modules (ShMC) are provided in MASP1400, Redundant IPMB buses are radial connected from ShMC to PEMs, Fan trays and all ATCA slots.

For general application, dual -48VDC inputs are connected to ASP1400’s Power Entry Modules (PEM) which provide filter and protect functions. The PEMs are respectively connected to -48VA and -48VB on backplane and supply redundant power for all modules.

Shelf Manager (ShMC)：

VADATECH’s Shelf Manager Module (ShMC) VT004 is used in ASP1400. Built-in 32-bit RISC, 64MB SDRAM and 128MB flash provides intelligent shelf management functions. Dual FPGAs radial connected to IPMB busses for redundant. A 64-byte FIFO for every I2C is used to realize no-loss package buffer during operation. 10/100 Ethernet port is provided in front panel to validate and display IPMI packets in the system. One RS-232 debug port and Telco Alarm port are also provided in front panel. It is IPMI2.0 compliant. Other protocols such as HPI, RMCP, SNMP, CLI and HTTP are also supported by requested. Two ShMC Modules could be used for redundant active/standby mode in ASP1400. During operation, one is active and the other is synchronized in hot standby mode.
