Jiang Lu, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Bureau of Trade and Industry (SZSITIC) has said that in Shenzhen high-tech industry development is more mature then in other places.
Lu while speaking at the opening ceremony of the first cloud computing association in Shenzhen Digital Culture Industry Park said that cloud computing industry has brought more business opportunity to Shenzhen information industry.
Cloud computing is Internet- based development and use of computer technology.
He said that Shenzhen is the first city, which is encouraging development of cloud computing. Around 50 enterprises have dedicated themselves to industrial researching and technology development, which is related to Could Computing. This industry has great business potential for the future.
Lu indicated that although Shenzhen information industry faces various bottle necks, but Could Computing has brought new opportunity for development of the enterprises. The new Petaflop Computing center, which applied Could Computing, is under construction.
Nowadays, the application of Could Computing is quite broad such as in banking, telecom, stocks, insurance and Internet fields. Goggle and Amazon already have applied Could Computing technology.
According to IDG, from now till 2014, the market potential of Could Computing is estimated at more than 130 billion.
Presently, Shenzhen’s government, industry associations and enterprises are optimistic about Could Computing industry. Most of them have made investment in Could Computing technology development. There are more than 50 enterprises involved in Could Computing field in order to catch this great opportunity. (Translated by Alice He)
